Facebook accounts

Manage multiple Facebook accounts with separate browser profiles

Facebook Pages and ad accounts usually involve several people: the owner, the agency and the freelancer who posts.

Who runs several Facebook accounts

  • Agencies managing Pages and ad accounts for clients
  • Businesses with separate Pages per brand or region
  • Freelancers who work for several clients at once

What goes wrong in a single browser

A normal browser keeps one set of cookies and one device identity for everything you open in it. One browser keeps one set of Facebook cookies. Moving between a personal profile, a Page and a client’s business account means constant signing out and in, and a high chance of acting in the wrong one.

Our beginner’s guide to managing multiple accounts explains the problem in more detail.

How VANE keeps your Facebook accounts apart

One profile per account

Each Facebook account lives in its own profile, with its own cookies and storage. Nothing is shared between profiles.

Its own network address

Give a profile its own HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy and test it before you open the browser.

Details that agree

Time zone and language follow the profile’s country, so the address, the clock and the language tell the same story.

Set up once, reopen any time

A profile keeps its cookies and settings between sessions. You open it and carry on.

Check Facebook’s rules first

Whether you may run more than one Facebook account, and how, is set by Facebook, not by your browser. Read Meta’s Terms of Service before you start, and follow them. Breaking a platform’s rules can lead to accounts being closed, whatever tool you use.

Meta Business Suite and Business Manager are built for giving agencies and employees access to Pages and ad accounts under their own logins.

Questions about Facebook and VANE

Can I use more than one Facebook account?

That depends on Facebook’s own rules, which can change. Read its terms and policies before you open or manage more than one account, and follow them. VANE is a browser: it keeps your accounts organised and separate, and it does not change what Facebook allows.

Does VANE log in to Facebook for me?

No. VANE is a browser. You sign in yourself, in a profile of your own, and the cookies stay in that profile.

Do I need a separate proxy for each Facebook profile?

If you do not want accounts linked by network address, give each profile its own address, in the region that matches the account, and check your proxy provider’s rules too. Our guide to SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies explains the options.

How can I check a profile before I use it for Facebook?

Run it through free test pages for fingerprint, WebRTC and DNS leaks. Our guides explain what each test shows and how to read it.
